The Henry Ford Museum and Bone Heads Restaurant

We were up and away about 9 A.M. to spend a good part of the day at the Henry Ford Museum.  It is quite a place!  This museum is a vibrant exploration of genius in all its forms.

We started with seeing the evolution of presidential travel through 5 vehicles.  In Driving Through America we saw how much our culture has been influenced by the automobile over the last 100 + years.

Heroes of the Sky documented the creativity that put man and machine in the air during the first 40 years of aviation.

There were exhibits on agricultural equipment, American furniture dating from 1670 to the present, railroads, and the Dymaxion House-Buckminster Fuller's circular aluminum dwelling.

My favorite section was With Liberty and Justice for All which showcased moments of American freedom from the revolution through the civil rights movement.  I actually sat in the seat where Rosa Parks refused to move to the back of the bus!
These sections were not all there was to see, but they were all I had the energy for.

After returning to the rigs to care for the dogs and take rests, we went to dinner at Bone Heads restaurant in nearby Willis, MI.  What a great local restaurant find even though it is supposed to be haunted!  The food was plentiful and excellent!  It got 4 thumbs up from our group, and we recommend dinner there to anyone who visits this area.
