Greenfield Village

David cooked pancakes for our breakfast this morning before we headed out to Greenfield Village.  The weather was just gorgeous, and we started our visit by taking a steam engine train around the perimeter of the park to get oriented.  There were so many things to see:  the Ford home where Henry grew up, the workshop where he built the quadracycle and his first manufacturing company were very interesting.  We also got to take a ride in a Model T!

Thomas Edison's Menlo Park laboratory and workshops lit by incandescent light bulbs were very  interesting and showcased Edison's genius as well as the processes of creating new inventions.  We had some excellent frozen custard and saw working farms that model true sustainability.
Sheep on the farm.
This community celebrates the peak moments of 300 years of American traditions, ingenuity and resourcefulness in one beautiful location.  It was well worth the visit.

Back at the rigs we had rest, happy hour, and delicious leftovers from Bone Heads, and Corky took a swim in the lake.  Then off to an early bedtime to be ready for departure tomorrow.
