Off to the UP

We were up and ready by nine a.m. and had an easy and uneventful trip to the Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan.  We got settled in at the Tiki RV Park in St. Ignace on the north side of the Mackinac Bridge which separates Lake Huron and Lake Michigan.    We had been warned to expect a difficult crossing of the bridge because of its length and height, but we have definitely crossed worse.  The campground is basic but adequate, and it has Passport America rates which is very nice.

After setting up, we had happy hour then went to the Galley Restaurant in St. Ignace for a delicious dinner.  A whitefish appetizer was followed by yellow perch for Sarah and David,  walleye for Steve, and lake perch for Jackie.  All were pronounced wonderful.  Back at the rigs, we settled in for the finale of Dancing With the Stars.
