Iditirod Headquarters

Happily Jackie and David are both feeling better today, so we went out for a nice lunch at Red Robin, followed by shopping at Sportsman's Warehouse and Walmart.  At Sportsman's Warehouse, we took a picture of a moose statue, since we haven't been able to spot one anywhere.

Next, we headed for the Headquarters of the Iditerod.  We viewed a very informative film, watched sled dogs pull a training sled around the track, and petted some adorable puppies.   The puppies are being acclimated to humans by being held and played with here. These dogs are bred for speed, as opposed to the dogs we saw at Denali Kennels who were bred for strength.  It is an interesting comparison.
